1. The Senior Travel Expert Heritage Photo Competition is open to residents of any country who are aged 16 years or over, except the Editorial Team of SeniorTravelExpert.com, their families, agents or anyone else associated with this competition. The competition is not open to professional photographers.
2. All information detailing how to enter forms part of these terms and conditions. It is a condition of entry that all rules are accepted as final and that the entrant agrees to abide by these rules. Submission of an entry will be taken to mean acceptance of these terms and conditions.
3. Entries must be submitted through the form on the SeniorTravelExpert.com website.
4. A maximum of two entries is permitted per person.
5. All entries must be received by midnight on the published closing date of the Wednesday, 1st October 2014. Late entries will be deleted.
6. To participate in this competition, entrants should submit a photograph relating to Heritage. The term Heritage can be interpreted widely and includes architectural, cultural, historical and natural heritage.
7. Entries will be judged on which best capture the atmosphere of the location.
8. Entries must be the work of the submitting individual and must not have been published elsewhere (online or in print) or have won a prize in any other competition. It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that no element of their entry infringes the copyright of any third party or any laws.
9. The judging panel will comprise members of the SeniorTravelExpert.com Editorial Team, namely: the Web Editor, Steve Hanson, and the Photo Editor, John Esser, a widely published photographer. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence shall be entered into.
10. By participating, all entrants grant SeniorTravelExpert.com and their designees, licensees or
the right to reproduce, distribute, display and post the entries online, and in promotions directly related to the Heritage Photo Contest, so that viewers may view competing entries.
11. By participating, the winner grants to SeniorTravelExpert.com a non-exclusive license for use of his/her winning entry in connection with the Heritage Photo Contest and promotion of the Heritage Photo Contest, including but not limited to print or digital publication and public exhibitions showcasing the winner. Authorized Parties will not be required to pay any additional consideration or seek any additional approval in connection with such use.
12. All published photographs will contain a credit to the entrant.
13. Entries must be in the form of a jpg, jpeg or gif file up to 300 kb in size. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties.
14. The winning entry will be published on SeniorTravelExpert.com within 28 days of the closing date of the competition.
15. The winning entry will receive a prize of a free night for two persons with dinner and breakfast at any one of the twelve luxury Menzies Hotels in England and Scotland.
16. The Editorial Team of SeniorTravelExpert.com are responsible for the publication and adjudication of this competition.
